How to File an Auto Claim in Mexico
If you're involved in an accident, it's crucial to file your claim immediately. Adhering to the insurance provider's procedures is essential, as failure to do so may lead to a denial of your claim.
YOU MUST FILE YOUR CLAIM WHILE IN MEXICO
ALL CLAIMS MUST BE FILED FROM THE LOCATION OF THE INCIDENT
To report an accident:
Call 911 to request the police and wait for an officer to arrive to document the accident. If possible, do not move your vehicle. If safety is a concern, take photos before moving it. Once the vehicle is in a safe location, wait for authorities to complete the accident report.

Tell the representative about your accident.
You may need to wait for an adjuster to obtain a report.
Tips:
To ensure that your claim is approved a claims adjuster MUST go to the accident location.
If you are in an accident in an area with no cell service, you must drive to a location with service immediately and call to file the claim. The adjuster will come to you and may request that you travel together to the accident site.
Do not sign any documents with any other party, except with your insurance assigned adjuster.
After filing a claim, please have the following documents ready to meet your assigned adjuster while in Mexico: -Print policy or digital policy -Driver License -Vehicle registration - Vehicle Ownership Title
After filing a claim make sure to write down the claim reference # and the name of your assigned adjuster.
